Daughter and I Go Surfing
That always makes me happy.
I didn’t know what to expect when I moved to the beach May of 2010 at Oceanside.
Now I daily walk across the street to look at the ocean. I want to be sure it is still there, but I also want to look at the waves, see the Pier, look at the sky or sunset and feel the breezes.
Man and apes have always felt comfort in the water. There is something settling about it. I am sure in our subconscious we remember the comforts of the all protective womb and the peace and security we enjoyed.
I love to be surrounded by the waves as I venture forth to surf in my wet suit. Even when I get tumbled and am doing somersaults underneath the surface, I am celebrating the all encompassing power of Mother Nature. I would rather ride on top of my board, but their is a certain surrendering you feel when your fate is in the hands of nature.
I trust that she is teaching me to surf better, but I trust that she will release me to try again. I get to find my limits and express my abilities while mingling with the natural energy of waves and water.
We can enjoy the same experiences in our lives out of the water. We have morning sun and blue skies. We have great food to eat. We have family and friends. We do have to do a little work to keep it all going. Then we can return home to pursue our passions.
I love to surf, write, read, cook, eat, watch football, socialize, and go for evening walks on the beach. I just don’t know how it can get much better than this. I did help myself along by getting healthy and fit which led to a lot of inspiration, gratitude, happiness, and now attempts at contribution.
It is said that God can only give and man can only receive. When man has received a lot, he also wants to give. It is said, that is our purpose.
