Optimize Your Site

The best way to begin is to get a free analysis of your site.

Most web designers create sites that are pretty and read well, but

What they leave out is:

  • An analysis of what your bricks and mortar and online competitors are doing
  • A study of what words your customers are using to find you
  • A concentration of those words so that site is stronger than competitors for the words
  • Website Copywriting that places the words in the right locations without distracting prospects

That’s the first reason your traffic is not maximized. If you want to check your traffic against the top sites in Google for your category, enter your URL next to theirs at http://compete.com

The next reason your site is not optimized is that you find people bounce and don’t take action. There have to be compelling  reasons they will allow:

  • You to contact them through their email for further proposals
  • Follow your newsletter or blogs
  • Call you while they are on your site to ask about your services
  • Purchase something while on your site

This requires that your site clearly explains:

  • How it works and how to get started with you
  • Who you are and why you should be trusted
  • Why you are better than the other sites they have visited (Your USP)

Finally, to get high page ranking for which the search engines have granted you authority, you need to have votes in the way of visits.  These are obtained by:

  • Creating relationships with other authority sites to list your site
  • Get visits back to your site by getting involved on  Social Media sites
  • Publish and get readers to visit your site

Yes it is a lot of work, but the reward of doing it right is having a very productive site.
